Code of Conduct and Ethics

At StuRents we pride ourselves in conducting business responsibly and ethically. StuRents is committed to providing high standards of customer experience and upholding high standards of safety and well-being for its employees. We expect all those using our platforms and services to share our commitment to ethical conduct. As such, we require all who interact with us, our sites and services to agree to do the same.

This sets out the standards of behaviour you can expect from us and, in turn, the standards of behaviour we expect from all who interact with us, our sites and services.

Legal compliance

All who use our sites and services must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to anti-corruption, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, labour and employment, environmental, health and safety laws, and other applicable laws and regulations.

Business relationships and integrity

At StuRents we hold ourselves to high ethical standards, and we expect all who interact with us, our sites and services to do the same. We expect you to conduct your business with us in an ethical manner, to avoid any behaviour that may be harmful or detrimental to the company, employees or our working relationships together.

We have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment of any form. No form of harassment, bullying, victimisation, threatening, malicious or abusive language or conduct will be tolerated towards our team.

While using our sites and services, you can expect the following:

  • In all of our interactions, we will always treat you and your team with integrity, dignity and respect.
  • We will be respectful of the different values, beliefs and cultures of our many customers, suppliers and affiliated partners.
  • Communicate with you in as timely a manner as possible, explaining our practices, processes and decisions in a way that is open and understandable.

In return, we expect the following from you:

  • You commit to treating the StuRents team with integrity, respect and dignity.
  • You will be respectful of the different values, beliefs and cultures of our team, third parties and communities we serve or work with.

Labour standards

Every worker has the right to a safe and healthy workplace, and as such to be treated with respect and dignity at work. We require those using our sites and various services to uphold the same standards as StuRents in relation to labour practices and human rights. This requirement on you includes but is not limited to, taking action to eliminate and prevent any form of harassment, forced labour or child labour, providing healthy and safe work environments for their workers, to not allow any discrimination on the basis of any characteristic protected by applicable laws, and ensuring that workers are paid in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Confidentiality and security

As a leading SaaS provider, we believe that data privacy and security are critical to building trust. We expect all who use our sites and services to uphold the same standards.

Guidance on reporting

Those interacting with us and/or using our sites and services are required to follow this Code. Where this is not the case we will:

  • Investigate and communicate with you and explain where we believe this Code has been broken.
  • Work to resolve the situation, with any criminal acts reported to the police.
  • Reserve the right to take appropriate action, which may include measures such as sanctions, removing access to our platform(s) for the alleged harasser, or requesting that the customer assign a different representative. In unresolved instances, this may also extend to terminating or refusing service, access to our platform, or contact with the involved parties. We will, of course, communicate with you prior to any such decisions.

We will always strive to follow this Code. However where you do not believe that this is the case:

  • We will endeavour to resolve complaints as quickly as reasonably possible.
  • Where appropriate, we will refer you to the appropriate senior leader at StuRents.
